Festive treats (for me!)
Although I did decorate the gingerbread house (with some help from my boyfriend) I must confess that this festive treat was not all for me!
As there are so many discounts around right now I thought I'd make the most of them and buy myself some things for Christmas.
First up are these pretty statement stone rings, I've been wanting some for a while and with the temptation of a discount code I just had to buy them from Lily Melrose's jewellery shop www.jwlry.bigcartel.com:
Reduced from £35 to around £15 I managed to buy this t-shirt from The Orphan's Arms on ASOS:
I went a little t-shirt crazy, being a massive Harry Potter fan and seeing Gem wearing the Deathly Hallows logo tee on www.gemsmaquillage.com I had to buy my own from Orange Circle. My wardrobe was lacking in navy items and I thought the colour went well with the cosmic print of the logo so I ended up getting the same t-shirt:
The Topshop sale starts on Christmas Eve and I'm sure there'll be lots of bargains so you can treat yourself after all the hard work getting everything ready for Christmas.

Need Christmas Outfit Ideas?
Christmas is all about the glitz and glam and I hopefully have some inspiring outfit ideas for you!
Why not vamp up the traditional gold sparkly Christmas dress with a cropped leather jacket and tough accessories? Wear with embellished heeled boots or if you're really daring, combat boots.
Mix sequins and sparkle with other textures like leather and faux fur. Jazz up your LBD with an eye-catching clutch. Wear your favourite Christmas jumper with statement heels to a party or bejeweled flats if you want to keep things more casual.
Most importantly, don't forget the Christmas spirit! Wear gift wrap inspired accessories/ make your own, or add novelty antlers, a Santa hat or bows to any outfit for an instant Christmas vibe.

Christmas Tag!
Santa Claus is coming to town! Sorry that this is the most Christmassy Photo I seem to have right now, it's actually from last Christmas and random info for you: I named it the Death Chair. Because who doesn't want to sit on a wonky chair in the middle of a frozen canal?
Grab yourself a mulled wine or your preferred beverage and give my answers to the Christmas Tag a read:
1. Favourite christmas song:
Santa Baby. Most Christmas tunes put me in a festive mood though
2. Favourite christmas colour:
Glitter! Wait... is glitter a colour?
3. Favourite reindeer:
Rudolph the red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose, I tried to remember, but he's the only one I know...s
4. Favourite christmas drink:
Snowball for alcoholic, and for non-alcoholic it has to be Hot Chocolate with marshmallows
5. Favourite christmas food:
The chocolates I will inevitably eat for breakfast. All Christmas food is awesome!
6. Favourite christmas films:
I would say The Snowman but it's too damn sad so: The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Grinch, Edward Scissorhands, A Christmas Carol and many others
7. Christmas eve or christmas day?
Christmas day
8. Favourite thing to do at christmas:
Watch all the festive TV shows/ films
9. Favourite christmas memory:
Ahh childhood memories of waking up at 4am and being told to wait until at least 6am for present opening and lying in bed for 2 hours waiting
10. Favourite christmas tradition:
Drinking Snowballs, eating chocolate oranges and setting the Christmas pudding on fire.
Leave me a comment if you read this/ if you're going to do the Christmas Tag too!

GlossyBox December 2011 'Christmas: Part 2' Review
This limited edition Glossybox came in festive, pillar box red packaging:
Lastly I received a mini Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in the shade Razzle Dazzle which is a glittery pinkish red, ideal for the Christmas party season, and a Nail Polish Remover Mitt which is useful to pack if you travel and don't want to take a big bottle of Polish Remover with you.
I have to say I was really happy with the contents of this month's box and there were two full sized products which are worth over £20 together so I certainly got my money's worth.
The Rituals Foaming Shower Gel I received was Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil. It smells amazing but it's a good job I opened it in the shower because it went everywhere when I broke the seal!
At first I was disappointed that I got the Blink + Go Hi-Definition Mascara instead of one of their eye shadow and blusher palettes but I have so many eye shadows already and my mascara is running out so It's probably better that I got the mascara.
The MeMeMe Seventh Heaven facebase is a primer and moisturiser and it smells like lemon mousse, so tempting I want to eat it. The full sized pot costs £15 though and I bet a decent moisturiser would be just as good as a facebase that you apply before makeup.
Another makeup product I received was the Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss in the shade Serengeti which is a gorgeous peach colour with a slight gold shimmer. As a sample sized product it's perfect to put in my handbag.

This was my favourite Glossybox so far, if you subscribe too let me know what you got in your box! Now, how do I stop spending my Christmas money before I have it...

My Favourite Things Right Now
This is just a little post to show you what I'm loving at the moment. First up is my amazing, shiny, glittery, camera-shaped bag that I got from ASOS:
I also got a beauty product after finally giving in to temptation (it must have been the chocolate)! It is of course the Bourjois- Delice De Poudre, Bronzing Powder in shade 52 that smells sweet too. It's meant to be chocolate scented and instead of containing shimmer like a lot of bronzing powders this one is matte:
These are my favourite things right now but I will be posting very soon about the contents of my Christmas Glossybox which I'm sure will contain some awesome beauty products so look out for that! Let me know what you're up to over Christmas or if there's anything you'd like me to do a post on.

GlossyBox November 2011 'Christmas Gift Guide: Part 1' Review
Once again it's GlossyBox time, do you want to see what was in my November box? Of course you do!
I was so happy with this month's box, I think it's perfect for winter as your skin and hair can dry out and it is the party season so we all want things to make us feel special.
GlossyBox has provided lots of perfume samples before but I think that Illamasqua's Freak Eau De Parfum is the best yet, I already enjoyed an Illamasqua Eye shadow previously and now I can't wait to see what they come up with next. I prefer sweeter scented perfumes and I think this one is sweet but has a musky edge, it is indeed 'bottled midnight'.
Freak contains:
Top Notes: Black Davana, Opium Flower, and Belladonna
Heart Notes: Poison Hemlock, Datura, and Queen of the Night
Base Notes: Frankincense, Oud, and Myrrh.
Subscribers get 20% off with a code and I'm totally loving the fantasy elements of the packaging:
So you're smelling wonderful, why not jazz up your nails too? I haven't used Nail Rock Nail Wraps before but they come with a useful guide and you can see the range of their designs:
The coldness of Winter usually causes everyone to turn their central heating up and BAM... dry hair and dry skin. Luckily I have some products to combat this problem:
On the left there is Arbonne's Ultra Hydrating Hand Creme, it makes your hands soft and initially smells fresh and fruity as it is made with 'kiwi cell extracts'. Unfortunately I found that the scent faded after a short while and smelt a little bit too much like a citrusy cleaning product for my liking.
In the middle is Dead Sea Spa Magik's Delicate Boosting Mask. I'm glad I got the one for Dry/ Sensitive skin and it does nourish your skin but it smells horrible, as a facial product this could do with a nicer scent.
On the right is Phillip Kingsley's Elasticizer, a pre-shampoo treatment to add bounce and shine which I will no doubt need for my hair soon as it is exposed to the harsh elements, I'm keeping this on stand by!
'We have a special surprise Christmas GlossyBox lined up for you'- okay the card in my box officially made me start being excited for Christmas. If you're struggling to find an xmas gift for a guy they are just launching GlossyBox for Men!
