MAC Haul: Girl About Town

Not too long ago I purchased a few things from MAC and I understand why everyone loves Girl About Town so much, it's such a vibrant shade of pink that it instantly makes you feel empowered!

I also purchased two eye shadow brushes the 239 and the 217. The 239 is great for packing on eye shadow and taking it under the lower lash line, and the 217 is the perfect blending brush as it smooths out the harsh lines I didn't realise my old eye shadow brush was leaving! The 217 also helps to create a softer day time look and a smokey evening look.

Let me know what your must have MAC products are and I'll take a look!

Daisy Nail Art Tutorial

I'm so glad to see daisies making a comeback such as the popular Topshop daisy print dress as worn by Miranda Kerr. I think daisy nails look super cute and you can choose a statement nail or add daisies all over your nails for a really summery style.

1) After I used a base coat of polish I painted my nails with Models Own Bloo Bloo polish.

2) I then used gold nail polish to add a dot in the centre of my nail but you can use yellow too.

3) I used Models Own Nail Art polish in White to draw the petals. If you don't have a steady hand you could always draw the petals on first and add the middle of the flower last.

It's a simple nail design but adds a fun element to your look; hope you enjoy going daisy crazy!

Owl Attack!

I'm crazy about owls, from my socks to my scarf. Here I have a few of my owly purchases for your viewing pleasure! My bags were both from ASOS and my scarf was from Bank:

If you know of any super cute owl related items please let me know because I adore anything to do with owls. I've also developed a liking for foxes too, oh dear! What's your animal obsession?

Beauty products I'm loving

Even though I'm on a bit of a budget while I'm hunting for a job I've purchased a few items as I needed them for events and general usage. I love all of these products but I will give you my full honest opinion about them all as I always do.

These two products are my go-to items for my daily eye makeup. I needed a new mascara and the recently launched Maybelline Colossal Volume- Smoky eyes looked interesting so I tried it and it's my new favourite mascara as it adds volume without clumping. Maybelline's Colour Tattoo creamy eye shadow in the shade On-and-on bronze is perfect for day or evening wear and brings out my blue/green eye colour; it doesn't last for 24hours but it has good staying power and does not stay in the creases of your eyelid.

Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the shade Lovesick is the perfect colour to brighten your look, I wore it to my boyfriend's graduation ceremony with a black and cream outfit. You can wear it sheer or darker for a really bold splash of colour but as it's a stain you do have to keep reapplying it. It smells like menthol too but only when you first apply it which was a little surprise.

I also purchased this moisturiser from ASOS called Steam Cream which smells like lavender but as a natural cream it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, and it comes in a variety of collectible tins, I just love this Big Ben tin!

I'm tempted to get some more Revlon Lip Butters too as they're my favourite lipstick to wear and I might need certain shades for a halloween look soon. What lipstick do you recommend or advise against?
